Overview

Internal Team Chat is a special thread type in the inbox that's only visible to your team. Guests never see it. Use it for shift handoffs, escalations, and "hey can you check on unit 3" coordination.

What's different from regular conversations

  • Visibility — only teammates with permission can see the thread
  • No guest channels — internal threads don't sync to Airbnb, SMS, or anywhere else
  • AI access — type @AI and Ask AI joins the thread, with full access to your reservations, tasks, and memories
  • Mentions@teammate sends a push notification

Where to find it

Open the inbox and switch to the Internal filter. Or start a new internal thread from any guest conversation: tap the "Discuss internally" action and the new thread is linked back to the original guest reservation.

Best practices

  • Pin the AI — use @AI for quick lookups instead of switching tabs
  • Tag people, not roles@maria is faster than "can someone in cleaning…"
  • Resolve when done — close the thread so it drops out of the active list
