Overview
Noise sensors monitor decibel levels at your property without recording audio (privacy-preserving). When the threshold is breached, ProhostAI alerts you and can optionally send the guest a polite message on your behalf.
How it works
- Sensor detects sustained noise above your configured threshold
- First alert — you get a notification; guest gets a soft-touch message
- Sustained breach — escalation: louder message to the guest, urgent push to your team
- Repeated breach — option to charge a noise fee or cancel the rest of the stay
No audio is ever recorded — only decibel levels.
Setting up
Open Settings → Connections → Smart Devices and connect your noise sensor provider. Assign each device to a listing and configure:
- Threshold — decibel level that triggers
- Quiet hours — different thresholds during the day vs. at night
- Auto-message — what gets sent to the guest on first breach
- Escalation — who to ping if the breach persists
