Overview
Open Settings → Voice to provision a number and configure how calls are handled. Voice settings live per phone number, on your account.
Phone number
Your voice number is provisioned at the account level — it's shared across your listings rather than assigned one-per-listing. When you search for an available number, availability is gated to supported regions (US and Canada), since the number has to clear the regulatory registration that carriers require. The same number is used for both inbound calls and outbound dialing from the apps.
AI receptionist mode
Choose when the AI receptionist answers an inbound call:
- Off — the AI never takes the call; ring the host only, and end the call if it's unanswered
- Fallback — ring the host first, and if no one answers within the timeout, transfer the caller to the AI
- After Hours — ring the host during your scheduled hours, and route directly to the AI outside them
- Unknown Callers — ring the host for known guests, and send unrecognized callers straight to the AI
- Always — skip the host entirely and connect every call to the AI
"After Hours" reuses your existing autopilot schedule windows — there's no separate business-hours setting to maintain.
Fallback timeout
In Fallback mode, the fallback timeout controls how many seconds the host's line rings before the AI takes over.
Persona and greeting
- Voice persona — pick the AI voice from the catalog that matches your account's voice brain
- AI greeting — set a custom greeting the receptionist opens with on incoming calls
Recording
Recording is a single on/off toggle. When it's on, calls are recorded and transcribed; when it's off, no recording is created at all.
Handoff
Set the handoff destination — the phone number the AI dials and bridges the caller into when it decides a human should take over the call.
