Overview
A subtask template is a named checklist you can drop into any task or cleaning. Define it once, reuse it forever. Examples:
- "Standard turnover" (16 items, every cleaning)
- "Deep clean" (run quarterly)
- "Maintenance call-out" (steps a contractor walks through)
Creating a template
Open Tasks → Subtasks. Click + New Template:
- Title and optional description
- Add items one by one (each item becomes a subtask)
- Optionally tag items as photo-required or videos-required so the assignee can't mark them done without proof
Attaching a template to a task
In any task or cleaning, click Add subtasks → Choose template. Every item in the template is added as a subtask in order.
Editing without breaking history
Edits to a template only affect tasks created after the edit. Existing tasks keep the items they had at creation time, so historical reports stay accurate.
