Overview
Digital guidebooks provide guests with everything they need to know about your property and local area. AI generates a complete guidebook within a minute or two, which you then customize.
Step 1: Generate with AI
When you first import your listing to ProhostAI, a guidebook is generated automatically.
You will see the auto generated guidebooks on the Guidebooks page of the app.
Step 2: Customize content
You can click "Edit" to edit the guidebook, "Share" to copy a link to share with your guests or "View" to view the guidebook as a guest.
A guidebook is built from sections you can add, reorder, edit, or remove. For any section, you can ask AI to generate the content for you (optionally with your own prompt), and you can start new sections from templates rather than from scratch. Anything AI generates is yours to edit afterwards.
Step 3: Brand it
Make the guidebook look like yours under the branding settings: choose a theme, set your primary and secondary colors, font, and corner radius, and add your logo and brand text. You can also hide ProhostAI branding entirely. Branding can be applied to a single guidebook or rolled out across all of them at once.
Step 4: Share with guests
Automatic: Add the guidebook link to your scheduled messages so guests receive it before arrival.
Direct link: Each guidebook has a shareable URL like app.prohost.ai/guidebooks/shared/<your-share-link>. If you've connected a custom domain, the link uses your own domain instead (e.g., your-domain.com/g/<share-link>).
QR code: The printable view includes a QR code, so you can put the guidebook on a welcome card or fridge magnet at the property.
What guests get
A guidebook is more than a static page:
- AI guest chat — guests can ask questions and get answers about your property and stay. Chat unlocks once a guest provides their contact info; before that they can still read the guidebook.
- Local recommendations — pin nearby places (restaurants, attractions, essentials) backed by Google Places so guests get accurate, up-to-date details.
- Multiple languages — guidebook content is translated automatically, so guests read it in their own language.
- Smart-home control — if you've connected smart devices, guests can control the locks and thermostats for their stay right from the guidebook during their stay window.
Measure the impact
Each guidebook has a view analytics page so you can see how guests are engaging with it over a date range.
