Overview
Auto-Reviews writes your review of the guest — the review you, as the host, leave at the end of a stay — and publishes it for you on a schedule. It is not a reply to the guest's review of your listing. For each completed reservation, AI drafts a public review, optional private feedback, a recommendation, and Airbnb's per-category ratings, then submits everything on the day you choose.
Auto-Reviews is Airbnb-only. It uses Airbnb's structured host-review flow (public review, private feedback, recommend yes/no, and the cleanliness / communication / respect-house-rules category ratings with their tags), which other channels don't expose.
How it works
- Stay completes — a reservation checks out on Airbnb.
- AI drafts your review — it writes the public review, private feedback, the recommendation, and the Airbnb category ratings and tags.
- It's scheduled — the draft is queued to publish a set number of days after checkout (you choose 1–14).
- It publishes automatically — on the scheduled day, the review is submitted to Airbnb. You can edit a queued review before it goes out.
There is no confidence threshold, sentiment gate, or star-rating filter on Auto-Reviews. Publishing is purely time-scheduled.
Setting up
Open Reviews → AI Review Settings (the settings tab appears behind the auto-reviews flag). Each settings profile controls:
- Name — a label for the profile.
- Listings — the listings this profile applies to. Scope is per-listing, so you can run different settings for different properties.
- Enabled — turn this profile on or off.
- Include private feedback — also generate the private note that only the guest sees.
- Always recommend guest — set the recommendation to "yes" by default.
- Days after checkout — how many days after checkout to publish (1–14).
- Custom instructions — free-text guidance for the AI (tone, things to mention or avoid).
Reviewing the queue
Each generated review moves through a status so you always know where it stands:
- Generating — the AI is writing the draft.
- Scheduled — drafted and waiting for its publish date. You can edit it until then.
- Published — submitted to Airbnb.
- Paused / Skipped — held back or intentionally not sent.
- Deleted / Error — removed, or something went wrong during generation or publishing.
Open a scheduled review to adjust the public text, private feedback, recommendation, or category ratings and tags before it publishes.
Best practices
- Review the first batch. For your first several stays, open each scheduled review and tweak it before it publishes so the AI learns your voice.
- Use custom instructions for house style. If you always thank guests by name or never mention specifics, put that in custom instructions rather than editing every draft.
- Scope by listing. Run separate profiles for properties with different tones or guest types.
Replying to a guest's review is separate
Responding to the guest's review of your listing is a different, also Airbnb-only capability handled by ProhostAI Agents, not by Auto-Reviews. Auto-Reviews only writes and publishes the review you leave about the guest.
