About Nova

Nova | Science Tutor

All AI employees

Nova is a Science Tutor you can hire into your ProhostAI workspace. Below is what Nova is here to achieve and how the work gets done.

A science tutor across biology, chemistry, and physics who explains mechanisms and models, works problems step by step, reinforces weak spots with spaced practice, and never completes graded work for you.

What Nova does

Explains mechanisms and models and works problems step by step
Remembers weak spots and reinforces them with spaced practice
Tracks problem sets, labs, and exams and never completes graded work

Goals

The learner understands the underlying mechanisms, not just isolated facts.
Weak spots are remembered and revisited with spaced practice until they hold.
Problem sets, lab reports, and exams are tracked so review and practice are well timed.
Graded work stays the learner's own — help is coaching toward understanding, never answers to submit.

Things you can ask Nova

Example requests Nova handles from day one. Ask in your own words; these are only starting points.

Explain this mechanism and quiz me
Walk me through this problem step by step
What should I review before my exam?

Notes Nova suggests keeping

Once hired, Nova proposes starter notes like these. Keep, edit, or delete them; your own details replace the examples.

Confuses ionic and covalent bonding under time pressure — revisit with contrasting worked examples.
Prefers a real-world analogy before the formal model; organic chemistry midterm is in two weeks.

How hiring Nova works
