Overview
Shifts is a weekly scheduling surface — drag-and-drop teammates into shifts, mark coverage, handle swap requests. ProhostAI uses the schedule to route messages, calls, and tasks to whoever's actually on duty.
Creating shifts
Open Team → Shifts. The week view shows your team's schedule. To add a shift:
- Pick a teammate
- Pick start/end time
- Choose a department (optional) and a listing scope (optional)
- Add notes for the shift
Recurring shifts are supported — set "every Mon/Wed/Fri 8am-4pm" once and it repeats.
Shift overrides
If someone's out sick, you can override a single occurrence without rewriting the recurring schedule.
Swap requests
A teammate can request to swap their shift with another teammate. The other side approves or declines; once approved, the schedule updates automatically.
How shifts affect work distribution
- Auto-assignment — only assigns work to teammates on shift
- Voice routing — only rings teammates currently working
- Push notifications — quiet hours respect off-shift status (configurable)
