Overview

European rental doors are a specific problem: euro-profile cylinders, often in apartment buildings, often on doors you are not allowed to replace. Tedee was designed for exactly that door — a compact lock that mounts on the euro cylinder itself, so the outside of the door doesn’t change and the freeholder never needs to know.

ProhostAI adds the part Tedee can’t do alone: tying access to your booking calendar. Once your Tedee account is connected and each lock is assigned to a listing, every reservation gets its own access with a validity window built from the stay dates — active ahead of check-in, removed after checkout. Date changes and cancellations reconcile automatically, so a rebooked weekend never leaves stale access behind.

Delivery is handled in the same motion. A template variable drops each guest’s entry details into your scheduled messages and the digital guidebook — and if you enable it, the guidebook doubles as a remote: guests can lock or unlock the door from it for the length of their stay, which quietly solves the “I’m at the door with full hands” moment.

For remote management, Tedee locks like the GO and PRO connect through the Tedee Bridge; once they’re online in your Tedee account, they sync straight into ProhostAI.

Automation

The door answers questions — Ask your AI employee for a stay’s entry details, or have it lock or unlock a door on request — rate-limited, with every action landing in an audit trail.
Reconciliation on date changes — When bookings move or cancel, access windows move or are removed with them. ProhostAI never leaves orphaned access on the lock.
Problems raised before guests hit them — Access changes are driven through to confirmation; if a lock is unreachable, the attempt retries automatically and the failure is surfaced instead of silently dropped.

How to connect Tedee

Connecting Tedee takes a few minutes in the browser:

1In ProhostAI, open Smart Devices and choose Connect account.
2Pick Tedee in the secure connection window and sign in with your Tedee account.
3Locks that are online in your Tedee account sync in with battery and connection status.
4Assign each lock to its listing and name it the way a guest would (Street door, Apartment 2B).
5From the next reservation on, guest access is created, delivered and expired automatically.
