Lockly integration

Per-stay codes on a keypad built to keep them secret.

Lockly guards the code. ProhostAI manages it.

Connect your Lockly account once and ProhostAI handles the churn of guest access — a fresh code for every reservation, delivered in your check-in messages and gone after checkout.

Overview

Lockly’s claim to fame is the shuffling keypad: the digits move around between entries, so nobody standing behind your guest — or studying the wear marks on the buttons — can work out the code. That is a real advantage on a rental door that hundreds of different people touch in a year.

But a peep-proof keypad still needs someone to decide what the code is, when it starts working, and when it stops. That is the part ProhostAI takes over. Connect your Lockly account, assign each lock to a listing, and every reservation gets its own access code with a validity window built from the stay: active ahead of check-in, removed after checkout. Where the lock supports it, the code is the last four digits of the guest’s phone number, so guests rarely need to look it up twice.

The code reaches the guest automatically — a template variable drops it into your scheduled messages and the digital guidebook, so access instructions always match what is on the lock. And during the stay the guidebook can do more than show the code: enable it, and guests lock or unlock the door right from there.

WiFi-connected Lockly models, like the Secure Pro line, sync in through the Lockly account you already use — no extra hardware on site.

What ProhostAI can do with Lockly

With your Lockly account connected and locks assigned to listings, this runs without you:

Guest access

  • One code per reservationEvery booking gets its own code with a start and end built from the stay dates — no shared codes accumulating on the lock.
  • Codes guests already knowWhere the lock supports it, ProhostAI uses the last four digits of the guest’s phone number, with a safe random fallback when those digits are taken or unavailable.
  • Sent in the messages you already sendA template variable inserts each reservation’s code into scheduled messages and the guest guidebook automatically.“Your door code is 7305 — the keypad digits shuffle, but your code stays the same.”

Automation

  • An AI employee that knows the doorYour AI can look up and report a stay’s door code, generate one, or lock and unlock on request — every action rate-limited and logged with who did what.
  • Codes track the bookingWhen a reservation moves or cancels, its code’s window moves or the code is removed. Nothing lingers from rebooked dates.
  • Failures get surfaced, not swallowedIf a code can’t be set — lock offline, battery flat — ProhostAI tracks the attempt through to confirmation and flags the failure so you can act before arrival.
  • An audit trail per lockUnlocks, code changes and errors collect in a per-device timeline you can actually check.

How to connect Lockly

Connecting Lockly takes a few minutes, entirely in the browser:

  1. 1In ProhostAI, open Smart Devices and choose Connect account.
  2. 2Pick Lockly in the secure connection window and sign in with your Lockly account credentials.
  3. 3Your locks sync in with their battery and connection status.
  4. 4Assign each lock to its listing with a name guests would recognize (Front door, Side gate).
  5. 5From the next reservation on, codes are created, delivered and removed on their own.

Good to know

WiFi-connected Lockly models — like the Secure Pro family — connect through your Lockly account with no extra bridge to buy.

Lockly’s shuffling PIN pad changes where the digits sit, not what the code is — guests type the same digits ProhostAI sent them.

ProhostAI only manages the reservation codes it creates; owner and cleaner codes you programmed yourself stay untouched.

Connected devices are a paid add-on billed per device, so you can start with one lock and scale up.

Lockly integration FAQ

Yes. Connect your Lockly account and ProhostAI creates a unique code for each reservation, delivers it in your check-in messages and guidebook, and removes it after checkout.

WiFi-connected Lockly locks — models such as the Secure Pro line — connect through your Lockly account. If the lock has remote access in your Lockly account, ProhostAI can manage its codes.

No. Lockly’s PIN Genie keypad shuffles where the digits appear so onlookers can’t learn the code from finger positions — but the code itself stays exactly what ProhostAI sent the guest.

Automatically. A template variable drops each reservation’s code into your scheduled messages and the digital guidebook, so the guest always reads the code that is actually on the lock.

The code follows the booking. If a stay shifts, its validity window moves with the new dates; if it cancels, the code is removed from the lock.

Yes. ProhostAI manages only the per-reservation codes it creates. Your own permanent codes — for owners, cleaners, maintenance — are left alone.
