Honeywell Home integration

The thermostat already on the wall, finally run by your bookings.

That Honeywell on the wall can run itself around your check-ins.

There’s a decent chance your rental already has a Honeywell Home thermostat — the T-Series is what contractors install by default. Connect your Honeywell Home account and that same unit starts following the booking calendar instead of a schedule nobody maintains.

Overview

Honeywell Home thermostats — the T-Series line by Resideo, from the T5 up to the T9 — are the workhorses of American walls. Plenty of rentals already have one, programmed once at install and never touched since, which usually means it either heats and cools an empty house all week or greets arriving guests with whatever the last guest left it on.

Connecting your Honeywell Home account to ProhostAI turns that existing hardware into calendar-driven climate. Each listing gets a schedule with real phases: eco setpoints while vacant, a pre-arrival warm-up (or cool-down) that starts a lead time before check-in, and occupied settings for the stay. No new thermostat to buy, no rewiring — the change is in who’s doing the scheduling.

You also set the boundaries, and they hold from both sides. A per-listing minimum and maximum means the wall unit can be adjusted freely inside your range — but if a guest pushes it to 60 in July, the setpoint comes back inside the limits automatically, and any temperature change a guest makes from their digital guidebook is clamped to the same range before it ever reaches the thermostat.

WiFi T-Series models connect through the Honeywell Home account you already have, with no hub and no API key. Each thermostat syncs in with its connection status and gets assigned to a listing like any other device.

What ProhostAI can do with Honeywell Home

With your Honeywell Home account connected and thermostats assigned to listings, this runs without you:

Climate control

  • Vacancy that costs lessThe moment a stay ends, the listing falls back to eco setpoints and holds them until the next arrival window.
  • A pre-arrival warm-up on every bookingA lead time before check-in — one hour by default, configurable — the thermostat moves to your comfort setpoint, so January guests don’t walk into a cold house.
  • Setpoint limits, enforcedGuests can adjust the thermostat inside the range you allow. Past it, ProhostAI pushes the setpoint back automatically.“Keep every unit between 62 and 78, whatever the wall says.”

Automation

  • The calendar does the programmingPhases follow the actual reservation dates, including changes and cancellations — the schedule is never a week out of date.
  • Different listings, different rulesEach listing has its own eco, pre-arrival and occupied settings, applied to whichever Honeywell Home thermostats are assigned to it.
  • Ask the AI to set itYour AI employee can set a temperature or activate a climate preset on request — every action is rate-limited and recorded with who asked for it.“Set the Elm Street unit to 70 before the owner walkthrough.”
  • Connection status at a glanceEvery connected thermostat appears as a device with its status, so an offline unit is something you see, not something a guest reports.

Good to know

WiFi Honeywell Home thermostats — T-Series models such as the T5, T6 and T9 — connect through your Honeywell Home account, no hub or API key needed.

If the thermostat is already in your Honeywell Home app with remote access, it’s ready to connect — no on-site visit required.

You can let guests adjust the thermostat from their digital guidebook during the stay — it’s off unless you enable it, and requests are rate-limited and clamped to your min/max.

Connected devices are a paid add-on billed per device, so you can start with one unit and expand from there.

The connection runs through a secure, dedicated device-integration layer; ProhostAI never sees or stores your Honeywell Home password.

Honeywell Home integration FAQ

Yes. Connect your Honeywell Home account and ProhostAI runs each thermostat from the booking calendar — eco while vacant, comfortable before check-in, and capped by the temperature limits you configure.

WiFi models managed through the Honeywell Home app — the T-Series line by Resideo, like the T5, T6 and T9. If it’s in your Honeywell Home account with remote access, ProhostAI can manage it.

Yes. Each listing gets a minimum and maximum; changes inside the range are left alone, and anything past it is moved back inside your limits automatically — whether the guest uses the wall unit or the thermostat control in their digital guidebook.

No. You sign in with your Honeywell Home account in a secure connection window and your thermostats sync in — there’s no hub to buy and no API key to request.

The schedule is built from the reservation, so it moves with it. A shifted check-in shifts the pre-arrival warm-up; a cancellation returns the listing to eco.
