Find, read and file property documents without leaving the chat.

Ask for a document. ProhostAI finds it in Dropbox.

Your house manuals, signed contracts, insurance papers and cleaning photos already live in Dropbox. Connect the account and ProhostAI can search it, read from it and file new documents back into it — so nobody digs through folders to answer a guest at 11pm.

integrationsPage.detail.overview

Most property managers do not have a document problem so much as a retrieval problem. The wifi code is written down somewhere, the check-in instructions for the annex exist, the signed rental agreement was definitely saved — but finding any of it means knowing which folder somebody chose eight months ago.

Connecting Dropbox hands that job to the AI. Ask for a file the way you would ask a colleague, and ProhostAI searches your Dropbox, opens the right document and answers from what is actually in it. Because it reads the live account, the answer reflects the file as it exists now rather than whatever was pasted into a note last spring.

It works in the other direction too. Photos a cleaner takes, a contract a guest signs, a report you asked the AI to put together — all of it can be filed straight into the folder where that kind of thing belongs, with a share link handed to whoever needs it next.

Once Dropbox is connected, ProhostAI works with it in plain language. There is no Dropbox screen inside the app to learn — you ask, and the AI does it.

Read

  • Find a file without knowing the folderSearch across the connected account by name or by what you remember about it. “Find the signed rental agreement for 12 Elm Street.”
  • Answer from what the document saysThe AI opens the file and replies from its contents, so house rules and check-in notes come from the real document. “What does the parking section of the Elm Street manual say?”
  • Browse foldersWalk the folder tree to see what exists for a property before you ask for anything specific.

Create & update

  • File a new documentUpload a contract, invoice or photo into the folder it belongs in. “Save this invoice under 2026 expenses for the lake house.”
  • Share a linkGenerate a Dropbox share link and send it to an owner, a cleaner or a guest without leaving the conversation.
  • Keep folders tidyCreate folders for a new property, and move or copy files into the right place as things change.

integrationsPage.detail.howToConnect

Dropbox connects through OAuth, so ProhostAI never sees your password and you can revoke access from Dropbox at any time.

  1. 1Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
  2. 2Search for Dropbox and select Connect.
  3. 3Sign in to Dropbox and authorize ProhostAI when the Dropbox consent screen appears.
  4. 4You land back in ProhostAI with Dropbox marked connected. Ask for any file to confirm it works.

integrationsPage.detail.goodToKnow

ProhostAI only reaches the Dropbox account you connect, and only through the permissions you grant when you authorize it. Revoking access in your Dropbox security settings cuts the connection immediately.

The AI reads files on request rather than copying your Dropbox into ProhostAI, so a document you update in Dropbox is up to date the next time anyone asks about it.

If several people on your team need the same connection, connect the shared team account rather than a personal one — that way access survives someone leaving.

integrationsPage.detail.faqTitle

The Dropbox connection is included with ProhostAI — there is no separate charge for connecting it. You need your own Dropbox account, on any Dropbox plan including the free tier.

Yes, that is the point of connecting it. ProhostAI reads files from the account you connect so it can answer from your real documents. It only reaches the account you authorize, and only with the permissions you grant during setup.

No. ProhostAI reads from your Dropbox on request rather than importing a copy, so a file you change in Dropbox is current the next time anyone asks about it.

Open Settings → Connections in ProhostAI and disconnect Dropbox, or revoke ProhostAI from the connected-apps section of your Dropbox account security settings. Either one ends access immediately.

Yes. Connect the shared team Dropbox account rather than a personal one and everyone on your ProhostAI workspace works from the same files — which also means access does not disappear when one person leaves.

ProhostAI connects to Google Drive, OneDrive, Box and SharePoint for files, plus property management systems, guest messaging channels, calendars, payments and accounting tools. Browse the full list on the integrations page.
