Answer from the house manual you already wrote.

The manual you wrote becomes the answer guests get.

House manuals, check-in instructions, standard operating procedures for your cleaners — if they are in Google Docs, ProhostAI can read them and answer from them, so guests get what the document says rather than an approximation of it.

integrationsPage.detail.overview

Every property team writes the same documents eventually: how to get in, how the heating works, what the cleaner does between stays, what happens if a guest breaks something. They get written once, carefully, and then live in Docs where only the person who wrote them ever looks.

Connecting Google Docs turns those documents into the source the AI answers from. A guest asking about parking gets the paragraph you wrote about parking. A new cleaner asking what to do with the linens gets your actual procedure. Nothing has to be copied into the app or kept in sync, because the document is the source.

It writes as well as reads. Ask for a summary, a new procedure or an owner update and the AI can draft it as a Doc in the folder where the rest of them live, ready for you to edit rather than starting from a blank page.

Once Google Docs is connected, ProhostAI reads and writes documents in plain language — there is no Docs screen inside the app.

Read

  • Answer from a documentReply to a guest or a team member using what a specific document actually says. “What do our check-in instructions say about late arrivals?”
  • Find the right documentLocate a manual or procedure by name or subject without being told the folder.

Create & update

  • Draft a new documentTurn a request into a first draft — a procedure, an owner update, a summary — saved where the others live. “Draft a winter shutdown checklist for the cabin.”
  • Update an existing oneAdd a section or correct a detail in a document that already exists, rather than creating a second version of it.

integrationsPage.detail.howToConnect

Google Docs connects through Google OAuth, so ProhostAI never sees your password and you can revoke access from your Google account at any time.

  1. 1Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
  2. 2Search for Google Docs and select Connect.
  3. 3Choose the Google account that holds your documents and approve the permissions.
  4. 4Ask a question your house manual answers to confirm the connection works.

integrationsPage.detail.goodToKnow

ProhostAI reads the documents the connected Google account can already open. Sharing a doc with that account is what grants access.

Documents are read live, so editing the manual is all it takes to change what guests are told — there is no re-import.

If two documents contradict each other, the AI has no way to know which is current. Deleting or clearly archiving superseded versions is worth the five minutes.

Drafts the AI creates are ordinary Docs with full version history, so nothing it writes is irreversible.

Yes. Once Docs is connected, it reads the manual and answers from what the document says, so guests get your wording rather than a paraphrase stored somewhere else.

No. Documents are read from Google Docs on request, so the document stays the single source of truth and editing it updates the answers immediately.

Yes. It can draft new documents and update existing ones in the connected account. Everything it writes is an ordinary Doc with normal version history.

Only those the connected Google account can already open. If a document has not been shared with that account, ProhostAI cannot read it.

Open Settings → Connections in ProhostAI and disconnect it, or remove ProhostAI from the third-party access section of your Google account settings.
